Blog Reflection # 6

My Field Experience
My partner and I used creative arts in each of our lessons that we did in our classroom. We had the students do foldables and draw in them. We taught our students the "Jim Bridger" song and we did a little drama with that. As we taught them we did actions and used props too! It was amazing and the students loved it! Each day we had them add words and pictures to their foldables. I think we should have been a little more specific regarding our expectations for the content we wanted them to have in the final product of their foldables.
Our cooperating teacher used creative arts to help teach through completing so many problems to shade in making a picture. Part way through our field experience the students' first term ended and at the start of the second term our class started rotating to music for specialists. And they really enjoyed that.
I enjoy teaching with the arts because it makes things fun and interesting and most of all memorable! :)
